Sharing a love for nature and a passion for art, much of my work draws inspiration from the environment. I'm deeply interested in examining our connections and separations with the animal world. I often explore issues related to animal rights and human interference, and many of my pieces share underlying themes of impermanence whether through addressing concerns of extinction or more poetically through associations with Buddhist philosophy/symbolism.

My choice of media is relative to the artwork and what I believe will best express my ideas. I'm not limited to using conventional materials and enjoy discovering New Media processes. I've recently found my niche in Installation because it allows me to not only explore and combine an array of media, but to involve the viewer more directly with my work by incorporating space. Through the act of creating, I feel most connected to nature, and I work to provoke a connection with nature in the viewer. My goals are to educate, raise awareness, and encourage the viewer to consider his/her connections with the environment.

In addition to more environmentally-charged works, I continually examine facets of myself and my private life through an ongoing series of self portraits. By drawing inward inspiration, I'm interested in unravelling the various complexities of my existence and gaining a better understanding of who I am in the process. Through this body of work, I hope to create connections with and inspire a similar assessment in others.

I received my BFA in Studio Art from The College of New Rochelle in New York, and plan to pursue an MFA in Installation Art/New Media. I have exhibited in New York and Florida, and my work can be found in private collections both nationally and abroad. I am currently available for custom work and can be contacted through this page.
